The Kuwait Maritime Association is organizing the **International Maritime Arbitration Experts Summit and Conference – Doha 2026**, under the patronage of the Ministry of Transport of the State of Qatar, with academic sponsorship from **Doha University of Science and Technology**, and with the participation of a distinguished group of experts and specialists in maritime law, arbitration, insurance, and maritime navigation.
The conference brings together representatives from government entities, academic and legal institutions, maritime organizations, insurance companies, and maritime transport companies to discuss the latest developments in international maritime arbitration and mechanisms for resolving disputes arising from carriage contracts, marine insurance, and maritime accidents, while also reviewing institutional practices and relevant practical applications.
The scientific program focuses on a range of specialized topics, including the liabilities of parties involved in maritime transport, the settlement of maritime claims and disputes, institutional arbitration, evidence and expert testimony in maritime cases, and the impact of operational and environmental risks on determining legal liability.
**Accompanying Workshop**
Following the conference, an applied workshop entitled:
**“Practical Applications in Maritime Arbitration and Dispute Resolution”**
will be held on **Monday, October 12, 2026**, at the **Maritime Training and Simulation Center at Doha University of Science and Technology**, from **9:00 AM to 12:00 PM**.
The workshop will include a specialized lecture on maritime dispute analysis, followed by a practical session using the maritime simulator to analyze a maritime accident, its causes, and the operational errors associated with it.
