Kuwait has been deeply connected to the sea, which forms an authentic part of its history, identity, and economy. From the sea emerged its journeys of trade, pearl diving, and travel, and along its shores the features of Kuwaiti society and its enduring values took shape. From this rich heritage, the Kuwait Maritime Society sets out with a contemporary vision aimed at promoting maritime culture, supporting national talent, and contributing to the establishment of concepts of safety, knowledge, and responsibility across the various maritime fields.

As an independent, non-profit professional association, the Society seeks to put forward initiatives and proposals that serve the maritime sector, organize specialized activities, programs, seminars, and conferences, and raise maritime awareness among those working in and interested in the field — thereby reinforcing its role in serving civil society and supporting Kuwait's maritime standing.

We, the Board of Directors of the Kuwait Maritime Society, believe that developing the maritime sector requires integrated efforts among government bodies, professional institutions, the private sector, and experts and specialists. With this in mind, we work to build bridges of cooperation, exchange knowledge, and support relevant national initiatives, in accordance with approved legal and regulatory frameworks.

In closing, we extend our thanks and appreciation to everyone who has contributed to supporting the Society's journey — members, founders, and supporting entities — affirming that the Society will continue its work with national spirit and professionalism, keeping in sight the service of Kuwait, the enhancement of the maritime sector's standing, the preservation of Kuwait's maritime heritage, and moving it forward toward more advanced and sustainable horizons.
